Brian Hardin

Director of Governmental and Agricultural Programs for the Alabama Farmers Federation

Montgomery, Alabama

Brian, whose parents are Auburn alumni, has loved Auburn since childhood. A native of northwest Alabama, where the Auburn faithful are a minority, Brian is appreciative of his bachelor’s degree in animal sciences and his master’s degree in horticulture. Before becoming the director of governmental and agricultural programs for the Alabama Farmers Federation, Brian was a sales representative in turf and ornamental products for Dow AgroSciences.

Brian currently serves as a mentor in the Agricultural Alumni Mentoring Program and has enjoyed the opportunity to mentor students interested in agriculture and agricultural policy and law.

Brian’s favorite Auburn memories begin with making lifelong friends in the College of Agriculture. These relationships continue to grow, and new ones relationships are formed each day as he meets others connected to Auburn and the College of Agriculture. Brian’s favorite campus activities included serving in the student ministry at the Auburn Christian Student Center, playing in the Auburn University Marching Band and his involvement recruiting students to Auburn as an Ag Ambassador, one of the most natural roles he has ever played. Brian proposed to Kelli, his wife, in downtown Auburn, and today, their children want to visit Auburn every chance possible. Brian credits his unforgettable Auburn experiences to his parents and those who mentored him along the way, including Dr. Bill Alverson, Dr. Dale Coleman, Dr. Joe Eakes, Dr. Harry Ponder, Dr. Jeff Sibley and Dr. Gary Davenport.
